She was running after them,
They who mattered to her the most.
She could feel the darkness closing onto her
She was blinded and deafened by the silence
As she fought for control
The darkness fought to overtake her
As she at last lost control
She felt a thousand stabs
To her heart
Which felt like penetrable lead.
Externally she was fine
Internally she was crying
They all saw an arrogant prick
But no one saw the hurt little kid
They noticed the fun and the games
But not a single one saw the pain.
Snapped her back to reality
Made her realize the bitter truth
In the time of need,no one would console
Because in this cruel game
There’s no one for you but you.
Building her walls ever so high
She didn’t let her pain deny
Leaving it all behind
She didn’t feel the darkness would make her fine
She knew she had to prevent
Crossing the line.
She wouldn’t make the wrong choice
Taking it slowly step by step
At first it hurt just to look ahead.
Reminded of all the hurt and the pain
She chose to keep all hesitation at bay.
Emerging victorious,
She could see all those she lost
Smiling at her with love the most.

Beautiful poem
